Education calculators
GPA, grade, and academic calculators

Grade calculators answer two questions students actually ask: where do I currently stand, and what do I need on what is left. Both are simple weighted averages, but the weights are easy to get wrong and the consequences of getting them wrong are stressful.
These tools show the weighting they applied, so you can check it against your subject outline before relying on the answer. Grading scales differ between institutions and even between faculties, so confirm your grade point values and assessment weights from the official handbook.

Questions about education calculators
- Why does my institution's GPA differ from this one?
- Grade point scales are not standard. A four-point scale is common in the United States, seven-point scales are common in Australia, and some institutions weight by credit points while others weight every unit equally. Plus and minus grades may or may not carry distinct values, and failed or withdrawn units may be excluded, included as zero, or replaced on repeat. Enter the values from your own handbook to match your official transcript.
- What does the final exam calculator assume?
- It assumes your current mark and the exam are weighted exactly as you enter them and that the remaining assessment is only the exam. If there is another task still to come, include it, otherwise the required exam mark will be overstated. It also reports marks above one hundred when a target is arithmetically impossible, which is the honest answer rather than a capped one.
