How to use it

Select your preferred unit system (metric or imperial). Enter your total field area, the target nitrogen application rate per area unit (from soil test recommendations), and the nitrogen percentage of your fertiliser product. The calculator determines how much product to apply per area unit and the total product needed for the entire field.

The formula

Product per area = Nitrogen Rate / (Product N% / 100). Total Product = Product Per Area x Field Area. For example, if you need 150 lbs N/acre using urea (46% N): 150 / 0.46 = 326.09 lbs of urea per acre.
