About this calculator hub

A large set of practical calculators that show their working, built and maintained by one small team.

What this is

This is a working reference library, not a lead-generation funnel. Every tool takes the numbers you already have, a payslip, a quote, a soil test, a loan offer, and turns them into the figure you actually need to make a decision, along with the formula it used to get there.

There is no sign-up, no paywall and no upsell at the end of a calculation. You can copy a link that reproduces your result, print the page, or take the numbers and never come back. That is the intended use.

Who maintains it

The hub is built and maintained by PineSeed Pty Ltd, an Australian software company. Calculators are written by the same people who maintain the code, which is why each one carries its formula, its assumptions and the sources behind any legislated figure rather than a generic disclaimer.

Because the team is Australian, Australian rules are covered properly, superannuation, HECS-HELP, stamp duty, Medicare levy surcharge, Fair Work entitlements, rather than being approximated from United States defaults. Tools that follow United States or United Kingdom rules are labelled with their region so you are never left guessing which jurisdiction a number belongs to.

How it is organised

  • Search first: type what you are trying to work out, not the name of a tool.
  • Categories group the catalogue by the part of life the tool belongs to, each with its own guide to what is inside.
  • The A-Z index lists every calculator on one page with a filter and letter jumps.
  • Guides are the longer explainers behind a group of calculators, for when the number alone is not enough.

What it costs

Nothing. The calculators run in your browser, so there is no per-use cost to serve them and no reason to charge for them. If that ever changes, it will be stated on this page before anything else changes.
