Your calculator inputs
Every calculator on this site is JavaScript that runs on your own device. When you press Calculate, no request is made carrying your numbers. Nothing you enter is written to a database here, and there is no account system that could attach it to you.
One deliberate exception is visible to you: after you calculate, your inputs are placed in the page address so the link reproduces the result. That address is handled like any other web address. If you paste it into a chat, share it, or your browser syncs your history, the numbers travel with it. If a calculation is sensitive, use the Reset button before leaving the page, or clear the query string from the address bar.
What is recorded
- Standard web server logs for the pages you request, kept for operational and security purposes.
- A count of how many times each calculator page is opened, per day, and how many of those opens led to the Calculate button being pressed. They are two numbers per calculator with nothing attached to them: no address, no identifier, no inputs, no results. They decide which tools appear under Most used and show us which tools people open but do not use.
- A search that matches nothing is kept as the words typed, with a count, so missing calculators can be built. Searches that find a result are not kept.
- No calculator inputs, no results, and no account or profile data. None of these exist here.
- No advertising trackers are placed by this section of the site.
On your own device
The list of calculators you opened recently and any result you choose to save are kept in your browser's own storage, on your device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them, and the Clear links on the home page do the same.
If you contact us
A correction or request sent through the contact form is stored with the message, the calculator it concerns, the result link you were looking at if you were on a calculator page, and an email address only if you chose to give one. It is used to fix the problem and, if you left an address, to reply. Ask through the same form if you want it removed.
Hosting
This calculator hub runs as part of a larger site. The site around it, its header, footer, analytics choices and cookie settings, is operated by the site owner, and its own privacy policy governs those. This page covers the calculators themselves.
Your rights
The calculators collect no personal data, so there is nothing from them to export or erase. The only personal data this section ever holds is a message you chose to send through the contact form. If you want it removed, ask through the contact page and it is deleted.
